11/4/2023 0 Comments Mame emulator retropieI only found no NDS folder when I found a copy of Touchmaster was made for the NDS and tried getting the game through that route. I imagine if I load suitable roms in any of these folders, I may get a choice of emulators for that platform, haven't tried that yet. Maybe it gave me the latest "nightly" rather than leave the most recent "stable" version on the RPi?.Īll I noticed was heaps of empty folders for roms instead of the 4 it came with but no NDS I have since found. I may have been then where I lost the choice of emulators selection?. I did the update when I couldn't get the touchmaster games running originally so if Ir-mame2003 was originally on buster-4.7.1, I'm thinking it didn't work but hey, hardware is my field, not software. It took a while and reset the pi a couple of times uploading and writting so there was a bit of changes it did. I did a further update however downloaded to the RPi itself and that is where things may have changed. The version of retroPi I'm using was originally retropi-buster-4.7.1-rpi1_zero. Bringing back the choice of emulators would be excellent. If you don't have any luck with that I have a RPi 3B+ here and will it a try it on that one and see if I can come up with a better guide, let us know how you get on.Ĭool, I'll give that a go. placing the rom file in the rom folder of whichever system you wish to use will determine which emulator runs each game. When you see one that looks appealing, select it and choose “install from source.” Here, you’ll be presented with all of the optional packages available. On the next screen select “Manage Packages.”ĥ. Navigate to the RetroPie/Configuration menu.ģ. I tried to find a concise guide to adding emulators as the documentation is a bit sketchy, these were the basic steps:ġ. There are lots of emulators available in each release which are 'optional', they don't install every package in a default build to save space but you should be able to add lr-mame2003 or lr-mame2010 if they are not already installed in your system. You can get the latest retropie version from if yours is much older, or a recent version can be updated to the latest in the configuration menu. Q: I'm having issues running some games.Hi, are you using an older version of Retropie? The current release 4.7.1 includes lr-mame2003 as a default system, yours has lr-mame2000? That version won't run some of those roms.Q: Is there a Hotkeys cheat sheet for the various emulators?Ī: Sure, just visit the EmuDeck Wiki for a more detailed.Simply launch the app from your desktop and the app will update itself upon launch.
